POWDER COATING SERVICES

With an oven designed for car and motorcycle rims we can fit any parts up to 1800mm in lengths. We powder motorcycle frames, swing arms, springs, rims, handle bars, engine covers, brake calipers, sewing machines, chairs, benches and much much more.

Our process for a superior, long lasting finish usually includes sandblasting, degassing, priming and top coating:

Hi TEMP POWDERS

Oxycolour Muffler Coatings are silicone powder coatings designed for use in high temperature applications. The pigments and resins create a performance coating able to withstand peak temperatures of up to 650°C (1200°F) and the repeated heating and cooling specifically of exhaust systems among other substrates.

Sand Blasting

Most parts are sandblasted to bare metal in order to get rid of any existing paint, rust, oxidation and dirt, but also to give the metal an etch to allow for a strong adhesion of the new coating.

Degassing

Degassing is a process we use for possible contaminated metal especially parts that are exposed to oil and grease. The metal will be burned in the oven up to 200 degrees (depending on the part/metal) which will get rid of any oil and gases in the metal to prevent bubbling when it's being powder coated.

Priming

Most parts are first powder coated with a primer for extra adhesion and extra protection against rust, oxidation, chemicals, UV etc for a long lasting finish.

TOP COAT

After the product has been fully primed we then apply the top coat(s). Sometimes that is a single coat and sometimes that is more than one coat, depending on the colour and special effect selection chosen by the customer for a beautiful finishing.

These steps will insure our customers will receive a finish product that is durable and beautiful.
